azItala Yoga classes are designed for anyone wanting to learn yoga. We focus on the principals of yoga, foundations of postures, joining movement to breath, alignment and modifications to suit all practitioners.


YOGA CLASSES

 

This class will challenge you with a combination of yoga flow and pilates to keep you moving, work core, and deepen strength while created flexibility.  The focus will be on mixing disciplines to achieve a full body workout.
  • Length: 60 minutes

This class will move through a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath with the postures, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the fundamentals of postures, and combines by moving into a restorative class with postures designed for deep opening and healing
  • Length: 60 minutes
  • Benefits: work up heat, strength, flexibility and metabolism.
  • Pace: Slow to moderate then back to slow.
  • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners

This class will move through a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath with the postures, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the fundamentals of postures, and combines by moving into a restorative class with postures designed for deep opening and healing

  • Length: 75 minutes
  • Benefits: work up heat, strength, flexibility and metabolism.
  • Pace: Slow to moderate then back to slow.
  • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners

Offered 4x/wk, This class will be designed to anyone wanting to learn yoga, focus on the principals of yoga, foundations of postures, joining movement to breath, alignment and modifications to suit all practitioners. The postures will be friendly, the descriptions will be clear.

  • Who: beginners, however, all students are welcome- share your practice with others who may be looking for examples to watch out of the corners of their eyes

Asana and Oils:

New yoga class infused with essential oils-

Each class will have (2) oils used throughout the class- with poses that associate to the therapeutic benefits of the oils. The class will be 30-40 minutes of poses with up to 20 minutes of oil teaching and guidance of these specific oils. Where you will learn specifically about these oils, application points, whether internal use is recommended, and how to use aromatically during your practice. Each class will conclude with the option to buy 1 or both of the oils for that day in already to go roller ball applicators, (1) for 5$ or both for 10$ (cash only), and with every class an oil representative will be available for questions or additional purchases.

  • Pace: Slow.
  • Who: All Levels welcome, this is a class that will leave you feeling renewed and refreshed every time!
  • Assure hydration before class.
This class will be designed to de-stress, focus on stretching and heal, designed to have gentle movement, coupled with focused breathing; meditative practice that will work through regenerative postures and finish with supported poses, focus is on natural re-alignment.

This class will hold postures longer, explain more detailed cues/directives, and focus heavily on alignment and quality of postures, focus on proper structural alignment will aid in toning and strengthening.

  • Pace: Slow to Moderate- hold postures.
  • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners

Weights are optional to help increase the cardio burn.

Age Appropriate Yoga


Here's our youth policy, to ensure everyone has a chance to practice yoga and experience its benefits safely!

All persons, 13 and older, are welcome to join any class, any day. (13 to 15-year-old practitioners need to be accompanied by an adult).

Yogis, ages 10-12, are welcome in any Beginners Class, when accompanied by an adult (these pre-teen practitioners can graduate into full practice after attending 12 Beginners Classes, at which time they may attend any class at any time, when accompanied by an adult).

Kids, ages 5-9, are welcome in our Sunday Kids' Class.
